In these difficult economic times, now more than ever, record numbers of citizens are relying on public libraries. Faced with losing millions in budget cuts, we need your help. Help us continue to serve you by contacting your legislator.

    Teen Summer Programs


    Teens join us at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library for a summer of fun and FREE teen programs. On July 8 at 2 pm, add a little art to your style and try your hand at tie-dying; on July 9 from 2 to 4 pm, our hands-on and active games will allow kids to see their strengths as part of the team, and on July 10, learn about the new food pyramid and make, taste, and take home healthy snacks.     The Cat’s Pajamas


    Join us at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library on Wednesday, July 8 at 6:30 pm for musical fun for the entire family. The musical group, The Cat’s Pajamas, will join us for an evening of fun and tunes. For more information, please call 610-278-5100, ext. 3.

    This month's local artist is Mary Anne Lerro, 20, who lives in Huntingdon Valley. She is a full time Richmond University student where she is pursuing a degree in International Business and three more A10 swimming championships.

    Experience Vinyasa Flow Yoga


    Experience Vinyasa Flow Yoga Beginning on Thursday beginning July 9 for eight weeks (no class July 16), experience the tranquility of Vinyasa Flow Yoga, presented by Monica Koenig, CYT. The class is being held at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library at 6:15 p.m. in the Community Room. The cost is $40 for eight classes or $6 walk-in fee per class.     What’s New at MCNPL!


    TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.

The Perkiomen Valley Library at Schwenksville will hold a Summer Reading Special Used Book Sale on Saturday, July 18, from 9 am to 11 am.
