Our Services
In the MC-NPL A/V Department, we have approximately 11,000 entertainment and educational videos and 1400 DVDs. Newly released entertainment titles are checked out for a period of 2 nights. Older entertainment titles and Educational titles are checked out for 1 week(7days). For Entertainment videos/DVDs there is a $1.00 rental fee and educational videos/DVDs are free to borrow. A $2.00 per item fine will be assessed for each day that any item is returned late. Any patron under the age of 18 must have a permission card signed by a parent or guardian. Parent or guardian will have the option to give the child permission to borrow either children’s and educational materials only or to borrow from the entire collection(including Rated R). Stop in to take a look through our Browsing collection (entertainment), which has all of the new releases, and/or our educational catalogs. Cinema Syntax!
Cinema Syntax is a Weekly Movie Trivia Game. Each week the Audio-Visual Department will post a MEMORABLE MOVIE QUOTE throughout the library. All correct answers will be entered into a drawing and the winner will receive A-V BUCKS for 3 free rentals. The winner will be announced every Monday.
Stop in the A-V department to try your chances at winning!
Contest Rules
1.) Patrons must have a Library Card with no outstanding fines or overdue material.
2.) Patrons may only enter once per day.
3.) Children are eligible to play as long as they have a blue A-V permission sticker on their card.
4.) Patrons are not required to rent or borrow A-V material to enter to win.
5.) All requested information on the entry slip must be filled in.
6.) The winner will be contacted by phone.
7.) Prizes are not redeemable for cash.
