Lori Jackson, president of the Friends of the Library, and Leslie Rush, head of the Automation Department at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library, admire the First Place winner in the Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Contestants from all the departments at the branches as well as the main library were invited to participate in this "Fun Day" activity. The winning entry was this Cinderella carriage pulled by bookmobiles which were pulled by horses ridden by skeletons bearing the names of the actual human drivers. The interior of the "carriage" had shelves of tiny books as well as a witch on the computer checking out a ghost's books. Congratulations to the Outreach Services and Bookmobile Department for this awesome creation! (Featured behind the winner is another clever entry: "Pumpkin Pi.") |
