Senior Summer Movie Festival

Join us at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public for our Senior Summer Movie Festival, a collection of classic comedies, dramas and others genres. This FREE program, geared toward seniors, runs from 1-3 pm and is being presented in our air conditioned Board Room. Click for a schedule of showings. All children ages birth to 12 years are invited to join the 2010 Summer Reading Club. Register on-line beginning June 12 (look for the Make a Splash link), visit the Children’s Department and pick up your Summer Reading Club information packet, then record your minutes as you read. Visit the library once a week to put your name on our display board and pick up the week's surprise!. |
Water Your Mind: Read!

This summer join the 2010 Adult Summer Reading Club from June 12 to August 14 at the Montgomery County –Norristown Public Library. Soak up a good book or listen to an audiobook. Then click on the link to the Summer Reading program on our website to register and fill out an online book review. Each review is a chance to win fabulous prizes such as gift baskets and gift certificates to local restaurants and stores. Paper review forms are also available at our Summer Reading Club display in the library. Weekly prize drawings are held beginning June 18 through the end of the program. |
Teen Summer Reading Program

Join us at the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library for the Teen Summer Reading Program, Make Waves @ Your Library. From June 12 to August 14, you can earn gift cards* from Walmart or EBGames for every ten hours of reading or listening to audio books. To register for this program, visit the library or sign up online. *Gift cards are available while supplies last and there is a limit of five cards per person. Get in touch with your wild side!! Come see the Elmwood Park Zoo's display featured in both our Swede Street and Powell Street entrances. The Zoo moves to foster an appreciation of wildlife and their habitat that will inspire active participation in conservation. |

Teens – Join us for the Teen Book Club. The club will meet every first Wednesday of the month! August's book selection is Pop by Gordon Korman. Pop is about a high school football player who strikes up a friendship with a former NFL linebacker who has issues with early onset Alzheimer's. Copies of the book are available at the library. On July 28 at 10:30, it’s time for Wet & Wild Pirate Adventure Stories, on Wednesday, August 4 is the Hat Man’s Show at 10:30 in the Royersford Elementary School’s Gym, on August 11 at 10:30 is the Magic Show with Stuart Rudnik, and get lucky with our sweet Candy Bar Bingo on Friday, August 13.
