Open Mic Night
|
Are you a talented rapper, singer, musician or poet? Come show off your talent in the Community Room. Invite your friends and family in on the fun! This is a great way to showcase your talent in your community. FREE August 6th at 6:00 p.m.

4H Babysitting Club
|
Become a certified babysitter! Learn the basics of caring for small children. Program is in conjunction with the Penn State Cooperative extension 4H Club. For ages 10 to 13. Sessions are every day the week of June 16th to the 20th. 5 sessions from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. FREE in the Community Room.

Teen Chess Club
|
Novice to experienced players welcome. Bring your won board and chess pieces. Classes are on Tuesdays starting June 24th to August 12th from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. FREE in the Board Room.

Wii and XBOX 360 Tournaments
|
Sign up for Wii or XBOX 360 tournaments! Prizes for winners. Also coming this summer, SceneIt and Monopoly tournaments. Will be held on Game Days 2:00 p.m. Fridays in the Community Room.

Spin-A-Yarn Knitting Club

Create fun projects each week and learn basic knitting techniques from RSVP volunteer Peggy O’Neil. For ages 11 to 14. Wednesdays July 2nd to August 13th (5 sessions) 2:00 p.m. FREE in the Children’s Department.

Yoga with Denise
|
Reduce stress, increase health and wellbeing, improve self-esteem and confidence. Wear comfortable clothing. Classes are on Thursdays from July 10th to August 7th 2:00 p.m. (5 sessions) FREE in the Community Room.

Stephen King Club
|
This group of avid readers meets once a month in the library’s Community Room. New members are welcome. Copies of discussion books are available upon request in the library. Book selection is made by the members themselves! This group will meet on June 25th and July 23rd in the Community Room.

It’s easy! This year’s Summer Reading Program’s theme is Metamorphosis. T-shirts for top prizes! Register at the library, read 5 books, answer some easy questions, return your form and then select a gift certificate from one of three stores! June 14th to August 16th. A NEW Fun Club at the Library!!! Make new friends as instructor C.J. Stampel shows you how to draw your favorite Anime and Manga Characters. This isn’t your ordinary ‘Sailor Moon’ discussion. Get ready for a quick education on Dragonball, DragonBallZ, Naruto, Dr. Slump, and Northstar series as well as popular Anime films. Limited space, reservations strongly suggested. Game Day

Date: Every Friday and early dismissal days

Come to burn rubber in “Burnout” for X-Box 360 or challenge a friend at Wii Bowling.. Every early dismissal, expect more fun and mayhem! On early dismissal days, Game day will follow special craft programs that start at 2pm and will be held in the Children’s Learning Center on February 5, March 4, April 15, and May 6.

Youth Advisory Board

YAB members plan programs for their peers and discuss strategies to make the library a more inviting and youth-oriented place. Meet new friends plus it looks GREAT on college applications!
